Outdoor Wall Stencil

This project beautifies a plain wall with an original painted design.

Difficulty: Easy

Materials
Butcher paper
Pencil
Utility knife
Painter’s tape
Level
Gold paint
Paintbrushes

Steps
  1. Trace or draw the design you would like to use onto a large sheet of butcher paper. Use a craft knife to cut along the tracing to create a stencil
  2. Tape the stencil to the designated wall using painter’s tape. Use a level to make sure it is straight

  3. Use foam paintbrushes to dab the gold paint onto the stencil. Apply the paint lightly to prevent the paint from bleeding past the stencil

  4. Design Tip: Dab the paintbrush on a paper towel after dipping it in paint to help reduce the amount of paint you apply.

  5. Apply a second coat of paint if needed. Finally, remove the stencil and let dry
