Simple shapes combine to create an attractive painted wall tapestry with a modern aesthetic.

Materials
(3) table runners
Shape templates cut from construction paper
Pencil
(2) small eye screws
Metallic cord
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Blue paint
Paintbrushes
Wooden rod
Wire cutters
Clear tape
Hanging hardware

Steps
  1. Place shape templates as desired onto the table runner, and use a pencil to trace each shape



  2. Fill in traced designs with acrylic paint



  3. Screw the hooks into the wooden rod, 1" in from each end



  4. Run a line of glue along the front side of the rod, and glue the rod to the back of the tapestry



  5. String the metallic cord through the hooks, and the cut the excess with wire cutters



  6. Secure the two ends together with clear tape



  7. Hang the tapestry where desired
