Difficulty: Easy

Material
(5) floating picture frames (clear picture frames with hanging loops or hooks)
Black-and-white or sepia-tone photos to fit inside frames
Scissors
Double-sided tape
Leather punch
Rivet screws
Ruler
5½' of ½"-wide leather

Steps
  1. Remove any existing material from frames using scissors

  2. Use the ruler to measure 12" of ½"-wide leather. Cut the first 12" length and use it as a template to cut four more leather strips
  3. Thread a leather strip through the hanging loops or hooks on the frame, suede-side down. Be sure to leave enough slack in the leather strip to hang the frame

  4. Once the leather strip is threaded through the hanging loops, measure and mark two points at each end of the leather strip, 1½" apart

  5. Use the leather punch to make holes on each mark from step 4

  6. Screw together a brass rivet through the hole. Repeat on the other side

  7. Add double-sided tape to the back of the photo and center it on the inside of the frame. You can also add more than one photo to each frame in a collage layout

  8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for each remaining frame

  9. Hang and arrange the frames on a wall
