Difficulty:Easy

Materials
Yarn in multiple colors
Pom-pom maker
Scissors or blade
Old ottoman
Hot glue and hot glue gun

Steps

1. First, make a lot of pom-poms! Open up one of the U-shaped sides of the pom-pom maker

2. Select a color of yarn, and start wrapping it around the U-shape

3. Continue to wrap the U-shape with the yarn until it almost resembles a half-circle

4. Close the U-shaped side of the pom-pom maker, run the yarn through the plastic notch in the center as shown, and snip off the end, leaving 1" excess

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 so that both U-shaped sides of the pom-pom maker are wrapped with yarn

6. Use a blade or scissors to cut the yarn around the U-shapes down the middle. Make sure to thoroughly cut the yarn on both U-shapes. The yarn should pop up once it’s been cut

7. Wrap a new piece of yarn all the way around the pom-pom maker over the lips, as shown. Then tie it off tightly

8. Cut the excess yarn with scissors, leaving a few inches excess (you can trim it later)

9. Open up both U-shaped sides

10. Remove the pom-pom maker by twisting the middle and pulling it apart. Then trim the pom-pom if needed

11. Repeat steps 1 through 10 to make enough pom-poms in various colors to cover the ottoman

12. Once all the pom-poms are completed, attach them to the ottoman with a hot glue gun
