Add a hanging rack to a stylish shelf to organize and display books, blankets and more.

Materials
3 walls shelves (preassembled and presealed)
Clear wood sealer
Paintbrush
1 branch, about 1" wide
Handsaw
3' of ¼"-wide jute rope
Scissors
Drill
¼" drill bits
Hot glue
Hot glue gun

Steps
  1. Paint the wall shelves with clear wood sealer and let dry

  2. Drill two holes through the bottom of one shelf, 4" from each side edge



  3. Cut two pieces of jute rope to 12"

  4. Thread one piece of rope through each hole and tie a knot to secure. Add hot glue to keep the ropes in place


  5. Using a handsaw, cut the branch into three pieces, to the length of each shelf



  6. Drill two holes through the branch matching the holes drilled on the shelf



  7. Thread the rope through each hole in the branch, leaving the desired amount of space between the branch and the bottom of the shelf



  8. Trim the excess rope, leaving about 2½" to wrap around the end of the branch. Use hot glue to secure the rope in place



  9. Hang all three shelves. The bottom shelf’s branch should hang approximately 20" from the floor

  10. Hang a blanket or throw from the branch to style
