DIY Grommet Curtains with Pom-pom Trim

Add grommet rings to regular curtain panels, and finish with cute pom-pom trim.

Difficulty: Easy

Materials
4 grommet kits (8 pieces each)
(4) 45"-wide window panels
Sewing tape measure
Fabric marking pen
Fabric rotary cutter or scissors
18 yards of pom-pom trim in desired color
Thread to match pom-pom trim color
Sewing machine

Steps
  1. Place a window panel face down on a flat surface. Use a sewing tape measure to determine the placement for eight grommets. Place the first and last grommet approximately 2½" in from side and the top. Space remaining grommets evenly across

  2. Use the first panel from step 1 as a template to mark cutout lines for each grommet on the remaining panels

  3. Carefully cut out each grommet hole using a rotary fabric cutter or scissors

  4. Place half of the grommet on each side of the fabric and snap the pieces together. Repeat for all grommet holes and grommets on the remaining panels

  5. Cut four pieces of decorative pom-pom trim to the same length as the curtain panels. Sew each piece of trim to the inside edge of each panel
