Create a functional, organized space for paint and other art supplies.

2 or more floating shelves
Tape measure
Pencil
Level
Drill
1½" screws

Steps
  1. Measure your wall space to determine the length and height of the floating shelves

  2. With a pencil, mark the placement for your first shelf 10" from the floor


  3. Predrill a hole at the 10" mark


  4. Align a washer with the predrilled hole

  5. Screw the nail into the washer, leaving 1" of the nail extending from the wall


  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5, placing the second screw 2' away horizontally from the first screw; use the level to help determine placement

  7. Place the shelf on the two screws


  8. Measure and mark 9" above the first shelf to determine the placement for the second shelf


  9. Repeat steps 3 through 8 for the second shelf and any subsequent shelves

  10. Place paint containers and other art supplies on the shelves
