Jen considers herself the luckiest woman in the world. She married her soulmate, Mark and the couple has three beautiful boys. When Jen was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) four years ago, she turned her situation into a positive one. Mark was there to help her with problems big and small and her support system of friends, and family has helped her raise money for MS research with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's annual walk. The family wants to thank their loving support group for all they've done and want the Home Mavens to help them throw a backyard bash to remember.
Cooking Maven Deborah shared dairy and gluten-free recipes for Redskin Potato Gratin and Stuffed Poblano Peppers that can be made ahead of time and frozen.
For a simple twist on drinks for their backyard bash, Deborah and Jen made Lemonade Raspberry Ice Cubes and Ginger Ale Ice Cubes with Lemon Zest.
Décor Maven Wanda helped Jen make earthy invitations using scrapbook paper, silk plant leaves and spray paint for a MS fundraiser.
Wanda worked with Jen and her friend Betsy to create simple floral pom poms to add a pop of color and whimsy to the patio for the get-together.
To showcase the symbolic meaning trees have to the Fronings, Wanda worked with Betsy to create an art piece to hang on the family's elevated landing in the foyer.
Home Maven Patrick and Mark were inspired by this Lowe's Creative Ideas project to create a barbecue island perfect for grilling out or hosting MS fundraisers.
Using lumber from Lowe's, Patrick and Mark created garden walkway coverings for the patio's two entrances.
