    Cardboard milk cartons are great to use for a variety of unique crafts. Instead of tossing them in the trash, rinse and reuse! Here are some unique repurposing ideas.

Milk Carton Planter

MATERIALS
Cardboard milk carton
Tacky glue
Decorative craft paper
Assorted embellishments such as ribbon or lace

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Cut the carton top off, and thoroughly wash with soap and water. Allow it to dry.
  2. Glue decorative craft paper around the outside of the recycled milk container to dress it up.
  3. Add assorted embellishments such as ribbon or lace to personalize your planter.

Tip: For a quick and easy decorative houseplant, set an already potted plant inside the milk carton planter. When it needs water, remove from the carton, water, then replace.

2 More Milk Carton Uses

  1. Drawer Organizer: Cut the bottom off of several milk cartons, and use them to organize desk drawers full of small office supplies.

  1. Gift Box: Cut the top off one milk carton and the bottom 3” of another milk carton. Cover each with wrapping paper, then place gifts in the tall side, and use the shorter carton piece as a lid. Top with a decorative bow and gift tag.
