Where & How to Organize with Lazy Susans
In the fridge. For the always-packed fridge, Lazy Susans can become flat-out lifesavers. Use them liberally for reaching groups like soda and juice, yogurt and fresh fruits, or even just leftovers. Brush your new tool with a few layers of chalkboard paint, then on the Lazy Susan itself, label when leftovers were made.
Under the sink. Place a classic Lazy Susan under the sink, in a bathroom or in any kitchen cabinet, and use it to organize cleaning supplies stashed in the back of storage. Try arranging them around the circumference of your Lazy Susan in order of your cleaning routine, then just spin, grab and go.
In a craft room. Mount your Lazy Susan upside down to the bottom of a cabinet or table, then glue the lids of jars around its edge. Once your jars are filled with craft supplies, simply screw them into the lids. With a turn of your organizer, voilà, what’s needed is right in front of you!
On a vanity. Attach a tiered cake stand to your Lazy Susan, and just like that, you have layers of storage. You can also set mismatched teacups, ice cube trays or even a compartmentalized appetizer tray on top of your Lazy Susan for sorting jewelry.
At a desk. Easily grab often-used office tools by setting them on a Lazy Susan. If your goal is to cut down on clutter, rest your organizer in a drawer. You won’t even need to open it the entire way. With a flick of your organizer, rotate supplies to you.
In closets. From linen closets to pantries, any shelved storage space can benefit from a Lazy Susan—especially the tiered variety that creates sub-shelving. Dedicate yours to often-used items. In a linen closet, organize air fresheners, hand towels and other everyday basics.
On countertops. Station your Lazy Susan on a kitchen counter as a means for making spices visible with a spin. Or on a bathroom counter, arrange color-coded bins, pails or jars atop your organizer, one for each family member’s essentials.
Quick Tip
