Wrap with Yarn

• Wrap wreath forms with single or varying colors and textures of yarn.
• Turn foam balls into decorative accents by wrapping yarn around them, gluing as you go, then display in a glass bowl or tall vase.
• Make monograms colorful by wrapping large letters (available at craft stores) with yarn.
• Add flair to recycled bottles, cans, glass vases, jars and hurricanes. Wrap just the centers to turn them into pretty home décor accents in mere minutes.

Tip: Try wrapping with only a few strands instead of covering the entire surface to allow light through, which will create a lovely glow.

• Customize photo frames by wrapping yarn around them. If you prefer splashes of color, use multiple swatches or your favorite multi-color blend. Embellish with a few beads.
• Create an ombre design on a lampshade by wrapping from the bottom, gluing as you go, with a particular color theme in mind. Start with the darkest shade and work your way up, changing the color a few times until covered.

Tip: For a warm ombre pattern, begin with red, switch to dark pink, then regular pink, light pink and finally white.

• Dress up the dining table with napkin rings wrapped in soft yarn. Make a variety with seasonal colors for quick décor options.
• Add color and dimension to plain storage boxes and baskets with yarn, then use them to organize mail, towels or toiletries in the bathroom.
• Wrap yarn around bangle bracelets to give them a soft and cozy look. Consider adding beads or buttons as another way to dress up old jewelry.

Balloon Yarn Balls

1. Soak yarn in fabric stiffener, then wrap it around the balloon several times, overlapping as you go. Avoid covering the balloon completely.
2. When dry, pop the balloon, remove it and you’re left with a unique yarn accent!

Tip: Add a light fixture to the mix and you can create a yarn globe floor lamp.

Yarn Pom-Poms

1. Wrap a bundle of yarn around the tines of a fork, just like spaghetti.
2. Thread a 6” piece of yarn through the tines and around the bundle, then tie it into a knot.
3. Carefully slide the entire bundle off the fork.
4. Snip the looped ends of yarn and fluff to create the pom-pom.

• Glue them to the end of a dowel rod to make flowers, then display in a vase for an inexpensive accent to any room.
