Since not all grades of stainless steel are created equal, it’s difficult to have a one-stop cleaning solution for them all. Some lower grades are prone to rusting and discoloration so it’s important to learn proper care for each different product. Make sure to test the cleaning products you try on a small inconspicuous area first and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning tools.
Tip: A simple microfiber cloth is good to have on hand for cleaning all types of stainless steel.
When it comes to stainless steel cookware, different cleaning methods and cleaners need to be implemented. Always soak your cookware with stuck-on messes in soapy water, then drain and scrub vigorously with a scouring pad (don’t use steel wool!). Be sure to dry your cookware completely so water spots don’t form.
