Certain spaces require more organization than others, and for many, a high-traffic bathroom tops the list. To simplify this space, begin by choosing a color organization palette that enhances your décor, then identify key areas that are overwhelmed with items.

Color Coded Family Bathroom

Sort the items by family member or based on use, then use our storage ideas to put everything in its proper place.

  1. Towels: Assign each family member to a different color and hang on a rack or hooks on the back of the door. Keep extras on hand by rolling them and displaying in cubbyholes or stowed across the hall in a linen closet.
  2. Bins & baskets: Assign each family to a different colored bin, basket—even a painted drawer—where they can stow all of their bathroom belongings.
  3. Toothbrushes: With so many options available at the grocery or drugstore, it’s easy to choose a collection that matches your new color palette. Do the same with shower loofahs or washcloths, picking a different color for each family member.
  4. Message board: If you have family members who use medication, create a color-blocked version of our message board to remind them of the proper dosage. It’s also perfect for posting morning and bedtime prep checklists for little ones.
