To some, Halloween wouldn't be complete without popcorn balls.

Popcorn Balls

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup margarine or butter
8 cups popped popcorn
Orange food coloring (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine, and salt in large pot. Heat over medium heat; stirring constantly. If you choose to color your popcorn balls, add food coloring to mixture then add popped corn, folding until popcorn is well coated with the caramel mixture (approximately two to three minutes). Remove from heat. Transfer popcorn to a bowl and let sit for10-15 seconds.

Dip hands in cold water and shape popcorn into balls while mixture is still warm. If you shape them with a 2-inch diameter, you will get about six. Place the balls on waxed paper and let cool.
