    Chances are, you’ve amassed quite the paint chip collection over the years, so why not put it on display? Whether you’re decorating for Valentine’s Day or everyday, we’ve got three crafts that put these colorful cards front and center.

3 Ways to Decorate with Paint Chips

    1. Wreath: Start with our instructions for constructing a repurposed tea wreath. We love monochromatic wreaths that feature one color in multiple hues. Pinks are oh-so-pretty for Valentine’s Day and bluish grays are an understated and sophisticated way to decorate everyday. When the season changes, just swap out the chips.

      2. Tip: Paint chips aren’t the only unexpected item you can clip to our tea bag wreath. Give your wreath a new look by clamping greeting cards, photos, postcards or pressed leaves to it.

For an instant decoration, string shapes onto fishing line and hang from chandeliers and other light fixtures. Or tie them to a curtain rod and hang in a window—if you dust the shapes with glitter, they’ll glisten in the sunlight.

      3. Tip: If you have leftover fishing line and paint chip pieces, string together the shapes to create a colorful garland. Hang it somewhere in your home or wrap it around a gift box in place of ribbon for a picture-perfect package.

    3. Wall Art: Craft your own masterpieces for next to nothing by framing the paint chips leftover from your last decorating project. Showcased in a bright white frame, the colors really pop.

      4. Tip: Cut paint chips in no time flat with jumbo-sized craft punches. They’re available at most craft stores and online, plus they come in all sorts of fun shapes, from circles and stars to bows and butterflies.
